Stephen Sillari has been in Cambridge for 20 years where he bought a house in 1996. Returning from San Francisco as the founding executive of an internet startup, Stephen started two Cambridge businesses: WebHood Inc. a nonprofit that trained interns to repurpose personal computers for nonprofit community centers; and Levelway, an information technology research consortium. Sillari won the prestigious Sakey award from Cambridge Community Television for doing the most to expand technology for the City of Cambridge. Stephen spends his time giving back to his community by serving as Vice President of the Community Art Center and Treasurer of CCTV. Stephen won the Alliance for Community Media Hometown Video Award for best local news talk show and currently produces his own cooking show. Sillari volunteered for Cambridge School Volunteers and is a weekly volunteer member of the Red Cross disaster response team since he served at the World Trade Center site. Sillari also serves on the Elizabeth Peabody House Board of Directors, was a member of the City of Cambridge Economic Development Committee and the Cienfuegos Cuba Sister City Committee, where he went on two delegations to Cuba.
