Peace Be Unto You,

Hello everybody, I’m Hasson Rashid, I reside at 820 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA. My Public Comment is about CMA I#1-7; PO/RL I# 1.

In looking at today's CMA, I see that from Item 1-7 is reflecting somewhere in the neighborhood of $3 million dollars of public and tax payers funds, are being move around to be spent uselessly. I said it before, and I’ll say it again, this spending that is following the city manager out the door, is a waste of tax payers and public funds, our municipal policy makers are doing very little to stop this mad spending frenzy, It’s a shame some of this public and taxes payers money, isn’t being move around to build poverty housing for the homeless in the city from the ground up, etc.

I agree with the mayors position on the “Five Black Stones,” what they represent and symbolize, the more than 5,000 Black Men who’s lives were lost fighting for independence in the Revolutionary War. While were on the subject of historical Black Folks, I discovered another Black American historical site that is also in a state disrepair. It is located at 10 Story Street, and Mt. Auburn, the historical marker reads some local history of Harriet Jacobs. I wonder how many more of these site are in Cambridge, MA that are in disrepair, and what can be done about them? Thank you.
