PEACE BE UNTO YOU!

Project Proposal CPA projects for FY 2017 (AFFIRMATIVELY FURTHERING FAIR HOUSING):

This proposal for CPA Funding is for creating a documentary film on “Affirmatively Furthering Far Housing (AFFH).” AFFH is an amendment of the Fair Housing Act (FHA) of 1968. Fair Housing and Homelessness also falls directly under the federal, state, and local Affordable Housing umbrella. Fair Housing, Homelessness, and Affordable Housing, will be the main three subjects and themes of this proposed documentary project.

The proposed documentary project would tell the story of the Fair Housing Act, Fair Housing, and Homelessness, and how they has evolved to relate to Affordable Housing. The history and origins at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The documentary will give special attention to recent development in the areas of AFFH, the Supreme Court decision on Disparate Impact.

The goal of the documentary is strictly educational, it will be intended to start with a local viewers base, and then move beyond. Cambridge has not been exposed to this type of documentary as of yet, as far as I’m aware of. My affiliation with CCTV has prepared me to move in the direction of producing this type of film.

Viewpoints and other concerns will be added in this proposed documentary from elected and government officials, professionals, scholars-practitioners, and the from the common populace that live in these patterns. Most of the filming will take place here in Massachusetts.
I estimate it will take between $10.000 and $15.000 to complete the field and studio work in making this type of documentary in less than a year. I will submit a more detailed follow up account of this project proposal to your office before the deadline is up for additional information.

Yours In Peace, Mr. Hasson J. Rashid, June 15, 2016
