North Point Park... Shouldn't it be open?

North Point Park... Shouldn't it be open?

Hey all,

As we all know East Cambridge is not the greenest zipcode in Cambridge... so the North Point Park is a very important asset to our neighborhood and the fact that it hasn't open yet is symptomatic of green space projects ... in our neck of the woods anyway... Few weeks ago I got an email copying a letter Mark Jacquith had sent to the Chronicle...Interested by the topic I contacted Mark to investigate further... We made a small movie that you can check out at

www.cctvcambridge.org/NorthPointParkTheVideo

Also included as attachment is the letter Mark sent to the Chronicle... over the next few days I'll add picture and further information as to whom to contact if you want to speak up...

thx for checking us out...

PS: Big Thanks to Mark and all the other 02141's for their concern, interest and curiosity without them nothing would ever happen...

News:

East Cambridge Resident Julie & Jay Wasserman have started a mail in campaign: OPEN North Point Park. Postcards have been printed which you only need to sign and stamp and send. They are more than one postcards all destined to different officials. So make sure you ask for one each. Like everybody who has been paying attention, Julie & Jay, wonder why the it's taking so long to get the park open... so if we all do something... maybe we can get things moving...

IMPORTANT: Postcards can be picked up and the East End, 105 Spring St, East Cambridge, 02141. Or send an email to opennorthpointpark@yahoo.com.

Do you part get involved... it's worth it...

I saw a great blue heron there last Monday. The first one I have seen in East Cambridge. You can see a picture on the East Cambridge Hot Spots map.
