CCTV is looking for an organized, reliable, and friendly woman to help oversee our computer lab during weekly drop-in hours dedicated to offering individualized computer help to women in our area. The intern will assist women in acquiring a variety of computer skills, with a focus on job searching, resume writing, feeling more comfortable with computers, and other related skills. A sincere interest in helping women use computers is required, as is sensitivity to the needs and concerns of those new to computers. Must feel comfortable working with a non-profit organization with a diverse constituency.
Details & Benefits:
* Work 1.5 hours per week for 4 months
* Receive free membership to CCTV
* Take free classes for the duration of the internship
* Receive training and support
* Production opportunities available
* College credit possible
* Network with the local video production community
* Get valuable teaching experience.
Available shift:
Wednesdays 1pm-2:30pm
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of MAC computers is required.

Producers can get help promoting videos through social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, compressing and uploading shows to sites like YouTube and Blip.tv, blogging on CCTV's site or creating a blog, building a web presence, creating graphics for a video, and much, much more. It's as easy as opening a Production Contract and coming down to the lab!
Web Media Help happens every Friday afternoon from 3-6pm in CCTV's computer lab.

COMPUTER ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE FOR WOMEN - Every Wednesday from 1pm-2:30pm at CCTV!
CCTV is offering individualized, flexible computer assistance from a friendly volunteer who can help with job searching, resume writing, computer skills, English skills and much more. Work alone or with a group to learn more about computers. This program is open to all women.
About this program
This computer drop-in time is available every Wednesday from 1pm to 2:30pm. The first two visits to this program are free. After these two free visits, CCTV asks participants to become CCTV members to use the facility. Membership starts at $25/year, which includes computer use. Those with limited incomes may be able to volunteer in exchange for membership. Please contact Nicole at (617) 661-6900 for more information.

Spanish-Speaking Computer Lab Volunteer
CCTV is looking for an organized, reliable, and friendly individual with Spanish language skills to help oversee our computer lab during the Wednesday evening "Computers for Spanish Speakers" program. These drop-in hours help Spanish speakers overcome the linguistic barriers in learning computer technologies by providing instruction in their native language.
Must be available during the following lab shift: Wednesdays, 6:00pm - 9:00 p.m.
Computer Lab Volunteer
CCTV is looking for an organized, reliable, and friendly individual to help oversee computerCENTRAL during public drop-in hours. A sincere interest in helping people use computers is required, as is sensitivity to the needs and concerns of those new to computers.
