Every Monday from 1pm-3pm (effective June 17, 2013) CCTV's computer lab is staffed by friendly, patient, and knowledgeable volunteers here to support seniors in their use of computers from the basics of getting started to more advanced things like using email, social networking sites, scanning photos, using digital cameras, and more.
CCTV also often offers short mini-lessons during each week's Computers for Seniors drop-in session. Check back for dates/times!

Computers for 50+ is open to those 50 and over. The first two visits to Computers for 50+ are free. After two visits, the use of our equipment and services is free for CCTV members. Membership starts at $25/year, which includes computer use. For more information call 617.661.6900 or stop by any Monday from 10am-12pm.

Every Friday from 3-6pm get help creating and sharing audio, video, photos and text using cctvcambridge.org or other social web applications. Open to CCTV Access Members with open Production Contracts working on content for CCTV’s channels or website.

CCTV is looking for an organized, reliable, and friendly individual to oversee computer lab during weekly drop-in hours dedicated to offering individualized computer help to job seekers in our area. The intern will assist job seekers in acquiring a variety of computer skills, with a focus on job searching, resume writing, and other related skills. The intern will also develop and teach brief job-oriented min-lessons during each weekly session.
A sincere interest in helping people use computers is required, as is sensitivity to the needs and concerns of those new to computers. Must feel comfortable working with a non-profit organization with a diverse constituency.
Training and support will be provided.
Details & Benefits:
* Work ~2 hours per week for four months
* Develop curriculum for weekly mini-lessons (15-20 minute lessons)
* Receive free membership to CCTV
* Take free CCTV classes for the duration of the internship
* Production opportunities available
* College credit possible
* Network with the local video production community
* Gain valuable teaching experience.
* Receive support from professions in the field.

CCTV is offering individualized, flexible computer assistance from a friendly volunteer who can help with job searching, resume writing, online job applications, computer skills, and much more. Work alone or with a group to learn more about computers.
