March 17, 2011 - 6:36pm This guy does! Erik Brown, not only is he an intern during MEDIA LAB Thursdays, but this die hard stays past his shift and works on his footage from his Advanced Directing class. His diligent hand can cut and transition footage like the best of them. But listen, just because the weather is "nice" it doesn't mean you can't get the work done. Here is a notorious picture of myself from 2007. Two comrades and I bicycled from Bar Harbor, Maine to Seattle Washington. During this trip, I edited about 20 videos all within the tent I carried on the back of my bike. Each day was beautiful. Each day there was a video to piece together. I learned to create something out of "nothing" and that there could be a story in any of the footage I shot from town to town. Nothing sharpens your "shoot to edit" skills like editing on the fly. I miss those days of shooting everyday, meeting new people and making substance out of their everyday lives. Below is one such video from my bicycle trip - I stopped in at Squeaky Wheel a media center in Buffalo, New York. I shot the video on a JVC Everio 3 CCD camcorder and edited using final cut on a Mac Book Pro. Gosh that was a great time. I miss it... read more

March 3, 2011 - 8:09pm This picture shows great minds thinking alike to solve the editing quandaries which come up from time to time. Garabed is the engine that runs the cogs of the edit help team. His wealth of knowledge is like a cool spring on a hot summer day. I have the privilege of working alongside Garabed when he creates his digital wizardry. From solving an animation problem to tweaking an effect fit for broadcast, Garabed doesn't rest until the problem is solved. Perseverance is the name of the game here at Edit Help on Thursdays 6-9p.m. read more
January 20, 2011 - 7:47pm A good game of tennis is well matched, and we here at Cambridge Community Television strive to have our members be up against the Wimbledon of video editing: Final Cut Pro. HA! The dedication that oozes from the pores of the staff assures your satisfaction of knowledge in this system. However, let's not let the ramblings of this intern deter the main theme of this entry. Edit help is HERE Thursday nights 6:00-9:00 p.m. We have the patience, the knowledge, the dedication to your projects to strengthen your abilities in these programs. I hope to see you there. read more
