May 31, 2011 - 4:34pm The compelling story of the popular Red-tail hawk nest at 185 Alewife Brook Parkway across from the Fresh Pond Mall will be one of the topics on Emily Rooney's show "Greater Boston" on channel 2 WGBH tonight at 7:00 PM. A camera crew came out to Fresh Pond and got some great action shots of Buzz & Ruby caring for their three fledglings who are almost ready to fly. While there they interviewed some of the 185 Redtails hawk group who stand watch on the activities from below the 7 story nest every day. Interviewed were George McClean, Paul Roberts, Hildy Martis, and others. Yours truly, Ernie Sarro, was contacted by phone, and John Harrison of Medford Wildlife Watch interviewed at the WGBH studios. This show will repeat at 12 AM on channel 2, and 11 PM on World, and will appear online in a few days at: http://www.wgbh.org/greater_boston/index.cfm read more
