On June 14, teens involved with the Youth Media Program will host a screening of their work. The event will begin at 6 pm and will be held at CCTV’s new home at 438 Massachusetts Avenue. The event is free and open to the public.
At the June 14 screening, Toni Allien, Fard Berry, Chay Holmes, Remi Jones, Wilgens Metelus, Jose Negron, Ranea Riley Walker, Obeng Serebour, Tedy Woldemariam and Xavier Marquez will screen their work from the spring semester, which includes animations and a short documentary series, “Innovation in My Backyard.“ Produced through a collaboration with Novartis, “Innovation in My Backyard” explores careers in science and how drug discovery research at Novartis helps patients.
The Youth Media Program is a media arts and work experience program offered at CCTV with support from: Cambridge Savings Charitable Foundation, Carl and Ruth Shapiro Family Foundation's Youth in the Arts Initiative, Cambridge Community Foundation, Cambridge Community Services: CityLinks Program, Cambridge Housing Authority: WorkForce Program, Draper Laboratory, Massachusetts Cultural Council's YouthReach Initiative, and Novartis.
