MOVE ME, is a “pop up” art project that travels through the streets of Cambridge for two weeks this spring in conjunction with an exhibition in the CAC Gallery (344 Broadway, 2nd Fl., Cambridge) from April 2 through June 15, 2012. The project investigates themes of immigration, national identity, and life transitions through the metaphor of animal migration. The project features a “performance” of wrapped vehicles with images of migrating animals from Paul's work, creating a metaphorical skin moving through the streets of Cambridge. The vehicles "pop up" in unexpected places to both surprise viewers and stimulate a community dialogue about boundaries, borders and barriers – both real and perceived. Inspired by artist Roberta Paul’s travels to the Serengeti in Tanzania, Africa, this multifaceted event features a six-week gallery exhibition at the CAC Gallery.
