Celebrate 20 years of storytelling and the memory of Brother Blue

On February 7, 2012, storytellers from Boston and beyond will celebrate a milestone:

The 20-year anniversary of Tuesday night storytelling in Cambridge, Mass. The series begun in 1992 by world renowned master storyteller Brother Blue and his wife, Ruth Edmonds Hill will mark the occasion with a blowout evening of top shelf storytelling and a few surprises.

The celebration will be held in the beautiful wainscoted vestry in Harvard-Epworth Church featuring Jay O'Callahan , www.ocallahan.com a headliner at storytelling festivals all over the country including the National Storytelling Festival. He has performed at Lincoln Center in New York City and was commissioned by NASA to create a story celebrating the space agency’s 50th anniversary. Local storytellers including Michael Anderson, Kevin Brooks, Mike Cohen, Laura Packer and Diana Valentine will round out the program. There will be special segments highlighting the 20-year odyssey interspersed throughout the program .The evening will be an opportunity for those involved in the series to look back and forward and for those unfamiliar with the venerable gathering to tune in and enjoy some of the best Boston area storytelling.
