CCTV just made it easier for community members to share local event information with their neighbors. Post an event on CCTV's online calendar and the event listing will also be featured on CCTV's cable channels 8, 9 and 96. To get started, just follow these simple steps.
Step 1: You need to create an account on the website – you will only have to do this once!
-Go to www.cambridgecalendar.org and click “Create new account” on the top menu bar, next to the log in
-Fill out all fields with a red* and type in the letters that appear in the Captcha box. Then press “Create new account.”
-Your account has to be approved manually, because we have received a great deal of spam lately.
Step 2: Once you receive an email that your account is approved:
-Go to www.cambridgecalendar.org and log in with the username you chose and the password mailed to you when you created your account
-On the same menu bar where you logged in, go to “New post”
-Choose “Calendar Listing”
-Fill out the whole form – Include an image with your listing to get more attention
-Make sure to also choose a “subject,” because your post will also appear on the subject page
-Choose “Save” and your post will appear on the calendar! And, it will be featured on CCTV's cable channels in between television programs.
