Web Media Rocks

Not to toot my own horn (especially since this new tutorial is Colin's brainchild), but today's Web Media Help Session went surprisingly well. My expectations were pretty low, as I heard no one showed up last week; at the very least, I thought maybe I'd get someone set up with an account on cctvcambridge.org... but to be perfectly honest I had another project going on in anticipation of three hours by myself in the lab. Well, sorry SMI-ers, you will have to wait a few days to watch your Personal Narratives online -- because at 3 PM in walked CCTV member George Kelso, a regular attendee of Seniors Lab. Somehow, I managed to help him redesign his Yahoo-hosted website in Dreamweaver. read more...

What's a blog?

Think of a blog as a space online - a web log - where you can write about whatever interests you. Blogs can range in topic from serious political writing to the whimsical to the quirky. You could write about your personal life or use it as a space to share your artwork. The options are endless, really. Another cool feature is that other folks can comment on your blog entries, sharing his/her thoughts on what you've written.

For more information about blogs, including their history, visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog

The seniors group at the CCTV website is a space for you to engage in conversation with each other when you're outside of the computer lab. We want to hear from you. This space is for you, so we look forward to seeing what you do with it.

If you have questions or need help, please feel free to contact Erin, Abbi, or Jason. Blog away!
