Our full service community media center operates three channels on the local cable systems. All of the programming on our channels is either produced or sponsored by our Cambridge residents.

Cambridge Community Television also produces content that is distributed on our website via streaming video and syndicated podcasts. All programming cablecast on Channel 9 is also streamed live to the entire world.

To submit regularly scheduled programming to be cablecast on one of our three cable channel in the city of Cambridge, you must first be a member of our organization. Individuals and organizations may become members, more information is available in the Membership section.
Any Cambridge resident may submit a one time program to be cablecast on CCTV without requiring a membership. Non-residents are required to find a Cambridge sponsor in order for their programming to be cablecast. A sponsor is any resident of Cambridge willing to take responsibility for the content of your program. The sponsor's signature is required.
CCTV accepts two types of submissions, Singles and Series.
Singles are one-shot, stand alone programs that are scheduled according to timeslot availability. Times and dates are subject to change. Series are programs that are cablecast weekly in a fixed timeslot. Episodes can be submitted on a weekly or monthly basis. The series contract and timeslot lasts until January of the next year, when the timeslot may be changed at CCTV’s discretion. Download the Cablecast Request.
CCTV accepts programming on either MPG2 or DVD (these are preferred), otherwise, S–VHS or VHS formats are acceptable. Although there are no restrictions regarding length, we request that if you are submitting videotape, the tape begin with one minute of black or color bars prior to the beginning of the program. Any Cambridge resident can submit a Single program free of charge. Series submissions require the producer or Cambridge sponsor
to become an Affiliate Member. These forms must be completed in their entirety and submitted with your videotape. Incomplete forms will not be accepted. Please read the forms carefully before submitting.
CCTV runs an televised Community Bulletin Board for non-commercial community announcements on Channels 9, 10, and 22 when other programming is not scheduled. Please fax (617-661-6927) or email your announcement at least two weeks prior to the event.
CCTV is a free speech forum protected by the First Amendment. Responsibility for the content of the programming seen on CCTV’s channels lies with the producer or sponsor of the program. The staff, Board of Directors of CCTV, the City of Cambridge, and Comcast are not responsible for, and may not censor the content of the programming on CCTV. If a court of law determines that programming represents speech that is not protected under the First Amendment, a judge may order CCTV to cease playing that program. CCTV has the right to place a disclaimer before and after any program that, in its best judgment, it feels may be objectionable to viewers. CCTV requires that the producer/sponsor obtain all necessary releases and clearances. Presentation of programming that is commercial in nature, or programming that does not have the necessary releases and clearances is prohibited.
