Former Vice President Al Gore will be coming to Harvard University on Wednesday October 22nd for the first Harvard University Celebration of Sustainability. The event marks the launch of Harvard's new greenhouse gas reduction effort and other environmental initiatives. Tickets are available to Harvard faculty, staff, and students who are allowed one guest each. As luck would have it,my temp agency just placed me as an Usher for this event,so I hope to be able to provide CCTV and the Cambridge community with some coverage of the celebration (with my shiny new Flip camera).
Information on Harvard's Green Campus Initiative as well as more event details can be found here:
That's awesome. I was just wondering today why Harvard Yard is suddenly covered with "Green is the new Crimson" signs. Actually, could you double-check the link you posted? I'd like to pass it on to the CRLS students I work with so they can cover it for their news show. And can't wait to see your flip footage!
Congratulations on your first post! And thanks for bringing this to our attention - we look forward to seeing your video!
So which President was Al Gore???
oops, Natalie, I think you meant Vice President!
Eeek. Wishful thinking on my part I'm afraid. Thanks for letting me know about the mistake. I just came from the event and I have some footage of the event including Gore's speech.
can't wait to see it!
