A brief passage from my autobiography:
"After four years of Division I college basketball, I played a year of professional ball in France before returning to Columbia to get my master's degree in film. It really is the best graduate film school in the country. As a directing concentrate, I was able to take classes in screenwriting, producing, and cinematography. That would not have been the case at NYU, UCLA, or USC. Once you choose your concentration at those schools you are not allowed to deviate. I also played on the film school intramural basketball team. Our team name was "The Brute Squad". It was a fitting way to end my athletic career. Very dignified."
