Save The Date: CCTV's Annual Backyard BBQ on Sep 17

Join CCTV in stimulating the community – at our annual Backyard BBQ, on Thursday, September 17th, at 5:30pm. This festive evening will take place in CCTV's "backyard" in Central Square, and will feature food grilled by local chefs, live music from the popular Afro-beat/soul band Zili Misik, and a silent auction featuring a variety of unique items. All proceeds will benefit CCTV's Youth Media Program.

The theme of this year's BBQ is "Stimulating the Community," and three individuals whose diligent work has made Cambridge a better place will also be honored with the presentation of the Leading Role Award:

  • Robert Bridgeman, for his dedication to supporting mentoring and youth development programs throughout his life;
  • Sue Hyde, for 20 years of work with the Cambridge Lavender Alliance and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force;
  • George Metzger, President of HMFH Architects, for involving the community in the design of housing, educational, and community facilities.

We hope you'll join us for a fun time, and a great cause. Tickets are available now at CCTV, located at 675 Massachusetts Ave (entrance on Prospect): $45 for the general public, $20 for seniors (60+) and $18 for children under 12. Tickets will be available online by mid-July. Visit http://cctvcambridge.org/bbq for more information.
