Save the date for CCTV's Annual Backyard BBQ! This year's event will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. in CCTV's backyard in Central Square. In the event of rain, the BBQ will be on September 24, 2009. Great food, local entertainment, the Leading Role Award, and neighborhood guests are our recipe for a successful BBQ. This year, as we celebrate a new era of hope and change nationally, the Leading Role Award will recognize three individuals who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to “stimulate” the Cambridge community: Robert Bridgeman, Sue Hyde, and George Metzger.

In 2008, the BBQ raised approximately $20,000 to support CCTV's Youth Media Program. Each year, the BBQ raises funds through:
